About the organization
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization founded in 1956. It supports refugees and displaced people, protects their rights and helps them pursue dignified lives and more secure futures.
DRC has operated in Libya since 2011, assisting people affected by displacement and host communities. Its programmes focus on protection, economic recovery, humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding, working with local partners and authorities. DRC also supports disaster preparedness and anticipatory action while addressing the underlying causes of displacement and conflict.
