- Employers you applied to (the account owner and recruiters): your CV, phone, email, links and file. 12 months after the job closes they no longer see your phone, email, links or file, and you can withdraw your application at any time under My jobs → Applied.
- An organization's hiring manager: your CV only, without phone, email, links or file, and only for the job they were added to. The hiring team may also show your CV, without phone, email or links, to the person who decides inside the organization, through a private “Ask your manager” link that expires.
- Recruitment agencies' clients: your CV without phone, email or links, through a private link that expires.
- Anyone else: nothing, unless you turn on “Public CV link”, which shows the CV only, without phone, email or links.
- “Let organizations suggest me”: organizations see your title, city, experience and skills only, without your name or number, until you apply. It stays off until you turn it on.
We never sell your information. The details are in the privacy policy, and you can read everything we keep about you with “View my data”: How do I see or download my data?
Messages and recommendations
Your messages with an employer in “Messages” are seen by its account owner and recruiters. The jobs.ly team reads your application's conversation only if a message in it is reported.
If you applied through a recommendation link, the employer sees who recommended you with your application, unless you removed it before sending. The person who recommended you learns nothing about your application.
Fair review and confidential jobs
On a job marked “Fair review”, the employer’s team cannot see your name, contact details, city, file, school names or dates during the first review. Your identity appears when they shortlist you or move you further, and stays visible if they move you back. If rejected before then, you remain anonymous.
On a confidential job, the organization’s name stays hidden from you until it messages you through the site or books an interview. Hiding an agency client is different: the agency remains named.
Ratings and offers
The site stores team ratings for skills, experience and communication, and offer letters an employer saves, including salary, dates, terms and signer details. These belong to your application within the hiring team, not your public CV, and other applicants cannot see them. Hiring managers see only their own ratings. Saving a letter does not automatically send it to you.
