Airport Infrastructure Engineer

Provide engineering support for airport infrastructure and technical systems.

Work pattern

40 hours per week; five eight-hour days, Sunday–Thursday, 08:00–16:00. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required; duty hours and rest are adjusted.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned airport assets and systems, assess their condition and recommend repairs or improvements.

• Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance plans, technical instructions and inspection schedules for assigned assets.

• Investigate faults and recurring failures, identify causes and propose practical corrective measures.

• Supervise contractor works, checking technical quality, safe methods, progress and compliance with agreed specifications.

• Coordinate work permits, isolations, access and operational restrictions with the responsible teams.

• Review technical drawings, asset records and work orders, and keep them updated after repairs or modifications.

• Prepare specifications, estimates and technical input for tenders, purchases and infrastructure projects.

• Support commissioning, readiness testing and handover, and track defects until they are resolved.

• Check required inspection and test records for assigned systems and flag overdue or incomplete work.

• Verify completed works and test results, and support safe return to service within assigned technical authority.

• Provide technical support during faults or emergencies and escalate issues requiring specialist expertise.

• Report asset performance, maintenance priorities and technical risks to the maintenance lead.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

• At least 3 years of relevant infrastructure, building systems or industrial systems engineering experience.

• Arabic and technical English; relevant engineering skills, contractor supervision and technical record keeping.

• Complete required airport training, assessments and access approvals before working independently.

Nice to have

• Airport or critical-facility engineering experience.

• Asset management and commissioning experience.
