Read the job requirements and check who is hiring. The application area shows whether you apply on jobs.ly or contact the employer using another method. Closed jobs no longer accept applications on jobs.ly.

Applying on jobs.ly

  1. Open the job and press “Apply now”. Sign in with a job seeker account if needed.
  2. If you have a CV, it shows in the Apply box for you to check. No CV yet? Use “Apply in one minute”: type your professional title or attach your CV file (PDF, Word or a photo, up to 5 MB), and a CV is made for you to complete later.
  3. Answer the employer's yes/no questions and add an optional message.
  4. Press “Send application”. You can follow the application under My jobs → “Applied”.

A question marked “Requirement”

An employer can mark a question as a “Requirement”: one that needs the answer yes. If you answer no, you can still apply, but the employer looks first at applicants who meet the requirement. Answer honestly: they may ask you about it at the interview.

Short questions when you apply

The Apply box may ask for something your application is missing, such as your phone number, your full name or skills the job asks for that your CV doesn't show. After you send it, we may ask whether you'd like employers to invite you, or to attach your CV file. You'll never see more than two questions at a time, and you can choose “Later”.

If someone recommended you

If you opened the job from a recommendation link, the Apply box shows who recommended you, and the employer sees that name with your application. If you'd rather not, press “Remove the recommendation” before you send it.

Applying by email, website, WhatsApp or phone

  • Email: open the message in your email app, check the recipient and instructions, attach your CV if requested, and send it yourself. Opening the email app does not send an application.
  • Website: follow the link and complete the employer’s application process on that website.
  • WhatsApp or phone: use the contact option shown in the job post and follow the employer’s instructions.

Applications sent outside jobs.ly are not tracked in your jobs.ly applications list. Follow up using the employer’s contact method. You do not need to build a CV on jobs.ly to use an external application method; provide the documents the employer requests.

Before you apply

  • If AI assistance is available, “Does this job fit me?” compares your CV with the job requirements. This feedback is for you; it is not a hiring decision.
  • “Tailor my CV for this job” helps prepare a version for that job. Review it before using it; your main CV stays unchanged.

Applying is free. Employers and recruitment agencies must not charge an application fee. Report suspicious requests using the report option on the job page.
