Terminal Operations Supervisor

Supervise terminal activity during a shift and maintain safe passenger flow and service continuity.

Work pattern

48 hours per week across six eight-hour days, with a rotating rest day. Shifts: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00. Relief staff cover breaks and handovers.

Responsibilities

• Review the flight schedule, shift briefing and outstanding issues, and confirm terminal staff and provider readiness.

• Inspect passenger areas, toilets, accessible routes, exits and public facilities, and report defects or hazards.

• Monitor queues and passenger flows, and coordinate action when congestion or service delays arise.

• Direct passenger-service staff on shift and coordinate assistance requests with airlines and responsible providers.

• Check cleaning and housekeeping standards and follow up missed or incomplete work.

• Monitor terminal equipment and service availability, and report faults to maintenance or IT.

• Coordinate with airlines, handlers and security teams on terminal disruptions and passenger-processing issues.

• Respond to alarms and incidents under approved procedures, including assigned evacuation duties.

• Ensure passengers receive accurate information during delays, service failures and emergencies.

• Escalate unresolved operational or safety issues to the Airport Duty Manager.

• Record inspections, incidents, complaints and actions in the shift log and complete a clear handover.

Requirements

• Secondary-school qualification or relevant diploma; knowledge of passenger or terminal operations.

• At least 2 years in terminal operations, airline passenger services or similar work, including operational coordination.

• Arabic and operational English; passenger communication, incident reporting and escalation skills.

• Complete required airport training, assessments and access approvals before working independently.

• Availability for rotating eight-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
