Airport Parking Attendant / Cashier

Assist parking customers, manage routine parking transactions and support safe traffic flow.

Work pattern

48 hours per week across six eight-hour days, with a rotating rest day. Shifts: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00. Relief staff cover breaks and handovers.

Responsibilities

• Staff the assigned entrance, exit or payment point and check equipment readiness at the start of duty.

• Operate barriers, ticketing and payment systems, and use intercom or monitoring terminals as assigned.

• Direct vehicles safely and help keep routes, pedestrian crossings and emergency access clear.

• Provide parking information and assist with tickets, payment enquiries and routine customer concerns.

• Collect approved fees, issue receipts and keep accurate transaction records.

• Close and reconcile the till, report differences and hand over cash under approved controls.

• Apply approved lost-ticket, refund or subscription procedures and seek approval for exceptions.

• Observe occupancy and congestion, and patrol assigned areas when rostered for that duty.

• Report equipment faults, accidents, suspicious activity and unsafe parking to the supervisor or security contact.

• Follow authorised fallback and access procedures, and maintain a clear shift handover.

Requirements

• Secondary-school qualification or equivalent reading, writing and numeracy skills.

• No previous work experience required.

• Arabic and basic English; accurate arithmetic, reliable cash handling and polite customer service.

• Availability for rotating eight-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Nice to have

• Cash-handling or customer-service experience.

• Experience using parking or payment systems.
