Your CV is on the “My CV” page. Choose the way that suits you:

  • “Upload your CV file”: a PDF, a Word file or a photo of your paper CV, up to 5 MB. On a phone you can also choose “Take a photo of your CV”. When AI is available, it reads the file and prepares a draft for you to check.
  • Answer 4 short questions, then press “Build my CV with AI” (when available).
  • “Fill it myself”: write each part yourself.

Always check the result and change what you like. If AI isn't available, finish your CV by hand.

Your full name in Arabic and English

Write your first and family name in the page's language, for example Mohamed Ali Elwarfally. When you move to the next box, we suggest how your name is written in the other language, and you can edit it. If jobs.ly added that spelling automatically, a note next to it asks you to check it.

If you uploaded your CV file and some parts are empty

When AI is available, jobs.ly reads your saved CV file once and fills in only the empty parts, in the same language, without changing what you wrote. We tell you in a message, and each part it added shows “Added automatically”. Check the information, correct anything that needs it, then press “I checked this information”. These parts don't show on your public CV link until you've checked them.

What you can add to your CV

Besides “Work experience”, “Education”, “Skills” and “Languages”, you can add whatever applies to you:

  • “Courses and certificates”: the course or certificate, “Issued by”, “Date obtained”, and “Valid until” if it expires. A university degree goes under “Education”.
  • “Projects and volunteering”: your graduation project, study or personal projects, and volunteer work.
  • The “Grade” of your degree, as written on your certificate.
  • “Driving licence”: choose the type of vehicle if you have one.
  • “Links” under “Basic information”, such as your LinkedIn page or your portfolio, up to 3 links. They never show on your public CV link; like your phone and email, only employers you apply to see them.

Dates and your total experience

Choose the month and year each job started and ended, or tick “I currently work here”. If a date was written another way before, it shows under the boxes until you choose the month and year. Your jobs and studies show newest first, and your total experience shows beside “Experience” once every job's dates are clear.

Write each of a job's duties on its own line, and they show as bullet points.

“New on your CV”

If you made your CV before these sections were added, a “New on your CV” card on “My CV” lists what you could add, and each suggestion opens its part. Add only what applies to you. The card goes away when you press “OK” or save your CV.

In Arabic and English

Choose “CV language” to write the other version, or press “Translate to…” and AI translates it when available.

Download and share

  • Press “Download PDF” for a copy ready to print.
  • Turn on “Public CV link” if you want to share it by link. It never shows your phone or email, and it stays off until you turn it on.
