• Open the job to review its applicants and screening answers. When available, AI match scores help you compare them; you can also sort by newest or waiting longest.
  • Applicants who meet every “Requirement” come first; the others are under “Don't meet a requirement”.
  • Move applicants through your hiring steps. If you choose the wrong step, press “Undo” while it is shown; the status message waits briefly so a mistaken change can be cancelled before it is sent.
  • Add a private note that only your team sees.
  • Select several applicants to change their step or message them together, up to 200 at a time.
  • Book an interview from the applicant's card: How do I schedule an interview?
  • Download your applicants with “Download Excel”.
  • If someone applied through a recommendation link, the account owner and recruiters see on their card who recommended them. It doesn't show during a blind first review.

Answer applicants from the email

The first-applicant email and the daily summary carry “Shortlist”, “Not a fit” and WhatsApp buttons. A button opens a page on jobs.ly that asks for one tap to confirm, and the link works only for your account, for a limited time. When you open an applicant's CV from their application, a bar at the bottom lets you call, WhatsApp, decide and go to the next applicant. The applicant is told a little later, so you can undo.

Messaging applicants

Write to an applicant through jobs.ly with the “Message” button beside WhatsApp and call on their card and in “Top picks”, or select several and press “Email”. The message stays on jobs.ly, and they're told by email. Details and message limits: How do I message applicants?

Weak matches still waiting for an answer

When applicants are still at “New” with no answer of any kind for more than 7 days, and their CV matches the job by less than 50%, jobs.ly lists them on the job page, in the daily summary and in “Needs you”, so they aren't left waiting. Check the list, then press “Tell them politely”: the box shows the “Not selected” message as they'll get it, with your organization's own words, which you can edit there. Confirm in one tap, and you can undo.

It's only a suggestion: nothing is sent without you, and the AI rejects nobody. The message never mentions the match or AI.

After you hire

When you move an applicant to “Hired”, jobs.ly offers to close the job and tell the applicants still waiting for your answer, with a kind “not selected” message. People at a later step, such as an interview or offer, stay where they are for you to answer yourself.

Team scorecards and blind review

Rate skills, experience and communication from 1 to 5. The owner and recruiters see the team’s ratings and average; a hiring manager rates applicants on assigned jobs and sees only their own ratings. Applicants do not see the ratings. Your team's “Interview questions” show with every scorecard.

With blind first review, an applicant stays anonymous until you shortlist them or move them further. Contact, saving them as a candidate and offer letters wait until their identity is revealed. Applicants rejected at the first step stay anonymous.

Offer letters and job numbers

From the shortlist onwards, open the offer letter and enter the start date, salary, probation, terms and signer details. Save it to reopen later, or print it and save as PDF. The site does not automatically send it to the applicant.

“This job in numbers” shows views, applications, shortlists, interviews, hires and applicant sources. You can archive a finished job while keeping its history, and post it again when needed.
